Enter Button on the Numeric Keypad issue

The Enter Button in the numeric pad cannot be unassigned from the shortcuts, The problem is that when I open any dialogue in WL7 and try to hit the Enter Button in the Numeric Keypad, the project starts playing, and there is no way to stop it from playing unless I close the dialogue window and hit STOP in the Transport Window, or Space

Is there a solution for this?

The solution is to use the “Return” key, not the “Enter” key, which is reserved for playback.

Is there a way to un-reserve the “Enter” key?
as mastering I don’t have the keyboard always in front of me, I only have small tray with Shuttle Pro + Numeric Keypad on my left side, and small keypad with the mouse on my right, and I rarely need the keyboard during mastering, so i use the keypad a lot.

No, the numeric key pad can’t be modified.
I could add an option in the future, to disable this key, when a dialog is active.

This would be very helpful, Thax for your time

I definitely dislike the “enter” key being reserved for playback.

Standard Mac conventions have the enter and return key being interchangeable so I’d really like this changed too!

+1

Actually, I’m very much fan of the ‘enter’ key being reserved for playback, no matter what windows are open. As the ‘0’ key being stop. It’s a great time-saver, as I have my mouse under the right hand, and the num-pad at my left. So if anything changes, let it indeed be an option.

Luck, Arjan

Yes, if that changes, that will be an option “Off by default”.

+1 for me. That would be a great help for all of us long time WL users.

YES! please make the play function as freely assignable as other key shortcuts!
as much as i appreciate the new features on WL7, it is in so many ways a pain for established WL6 users to learn new workflows that might be more fancy for new users but not necessary.
