I am starting a score for Symphonic Orchestra, but when I put the instruments in, the staves collide with each other. How can I fix this?
Larger page size and/or smaller staff space (rastral) size in your Layout Options.

If I choose a 10X13 page size, when I make PDF’s, will I be able to print to 8.5X11 paper?
Yes, you can specify an output page size for PDFs that’s different from the page size in your project, and the content will be scaled to fit.
