Erase Background from Line?

Hello,

I’m currently writing a concert band piece that calls for a bowed Crotale on Timpani… I’m trying to use a wavy line to specify pedal height for the Timpanist but it doesn’t seem theres a way for me to erase background from a line. Am I missing something?

No, but you might be able to add a text item with a few spaces in it, and position it at that spot. I’ve used that trick for other times that masking isn’t available.
