ERM multi clock help - Not working in Cubase 14 Pro

With all conditions the same (ERM multi clock source from audio from DAW, 128 bit rate, 96khz Sample Rate), the clock is a perfect sync when used in Reaper.

But when used in Cubase, the ERM display tempo jitters and jumps all over the place (although always to the same arbitrary bpm’s) sometimes resulting in “ERR” being displayed.

What gives? Is Reaper’s internal clock more stable? – that said, the ERM is using audio signal as the source so shouldn’t make a difference which DAW you use?

Update: The audio signal being sent to the ERM audio in was way too loud. This caused the ERM to spaz out.

(In Reaper, the level was set lower).

Thankfully, nothing to do with Cubase.
