Error importing file Invalid medium

I have started getting this error

Error: Medium type not supported or invalid medium.

I am getting this on every single file .wav, .mp3 and also when i attempt to extract from a .mov.

I just moved everything from an iMac to a MacBook Pro. The software is identical. These very same files convert perfectly on the iMac.

I even tried converting them from .mov to both .wav and .mp3 using Switch and it won’t import this either.

This is my bread and butter and I have to be able to convert them.

Does anyone have any idea why this could be happening?

I am not a Mac guy, but is it possible that you don’t have the proper codec(s) installed on your computer?

Also, when you say that you moved everything from an iMac to a MacBook Pro - you didn’t actually move Cubase - you installed it from scratch to the MacBook, right?
