Error importing track

Hi,

I’m trying to upload a .mp3 file and I keep getting a pop-up that says “Errors on importing media” and “Medium type not supported or invalid medium!” I am currently using Cubase AI Elements 13 on a 2024 Windows Surface and they play just fine on my computer and my phone.

I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and am still having the same problem.

I’ve never had this happen before, certainly not with an mp3. I need this for school, so any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Could you provide details about the MP3 file, please?

The ones I need for this are all under 30 seconds long. They were recorded as voice memos on my iPhone, however other files that I’ve been able to upload previously are also not working.

The iPhone produces protected M4A files, normally.
You need to import the files into the pool. That should convert them to wav.
