Error installing update 7.0.4

Hello.
I am Brazilian and I am using a translator. I hope you understand me.
I purchased Cubase (7.0.0).
I downloaded the update and could not install. The other two updates coming with the update of Cubase were installed without problems. But at the time of update of Cubase (7.0.4) the warning appears:
C: \ PROGRAM FILES \ STEINBERG \ ASIO \ ASIODXFD.DLL failed to register.
HRESULT-2147024770
What’s the problem?
Using windows 7 32bit.
I need to install previous versions before installing version 7.0.4?

Perhaps you could start over.

Uninstall Cubase using the Windows Add/Remove Programs control panel.

Then:
Download and install this first (Cubase 7.0.2 full install) http://download.steinberg.net/downloads_software/Cubase_7_and_Cubase_Artist_7/7.0.2_complete_installer_incl_HALion_Sonic_Content/Cubase_7.0.2_Installer_win.rar

Then download and install this: (7.0.4 update)
http://download.steinberg.net/downloads_software/Cubase_7_and_Cubase_Artist_7/7.0.4/PC/Cubase_7.0.4_Update_win.exe

You do not need to start from 7.0.0.

I’m getting same error. Grrrr…

I figured it out. The ASIODXFD.DLL is missing from the ASIO folder. I’m on Win7 64bit. I copied/paste the ASIODXFD.DLL file from the 64bit folder

C:\PROGRAM FILES\STEINBERG\ASIO\

to the 32bit Steinberg folder

C:\PROGRAM FILES(x86)\STEINBERG\ASIO\

In your case, since you’re on Win7 32bit, I’m not sure where you’d locate it. Do a search of your system to see if you can locate the file and make sure it gets into the correct folder.
