Error Message: Could not create project dirrctory

'm running Cubase 5.53 and have been for quite some time. I run it on a mac Machine and it has been working great forever. All of the sudden I am getting an error message saying “Could Not Create Project Directory”. Nothing has changed on my computer. I’m a bit stumped. I have the same issue when i try and drop an audio file into the project, this time with an error message that says “Could Not Create Audio Directory”

Hey im having this same problem now with cubase 7, did you fix this? and if so what did you do to fix it?

The first question that springs to mind is… how much space do you have left on your destination disk? (and, are you sure that your chosen disk is indeed the one that Cubase trying to use?)
