I get “no License for Halion 7” screen each time I open Dorico Pro 6. Only using Halion Sonic as installed. How can I end the error screen? Activation Manager also comes up and must be dismissed. Any solution?
“HALion 7” is a separate product from “HALion Sonic”. Essentially, HALion 7 is the “Pro” sampler app; and HALion Sonic is the feature-restricted version, which comes with Dorico.
Your Dorico licence includes HALion Sonic, but not HALion 7. It looks like you’ve installed HALion 7, but you don’t have a licence for it. (Because it’s a separate, paid-for product.)
So you need to uninstall HALion 7.
An alternative is to set these Preferences on the Play page:

But I think probably Ben is right that in your case you just want to uninstall HALion 7.
There’s no uninstaller as such, but you need to remove HALion 7 files from:
/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components/
/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST3/
(NB: top-level Library, not user Library.)
… and the Application itself in the /Applications folder.
