Euphonium in Treble Clef

Please - a request to the Dorico team and a question

First - the (obvious?) request - please could we have treble clef as an option in Set Up? A lot of Brass Band players play Euphonium in treble clef.

Second - having got a full score with Euphonium in bass clef - please, how do I create a treble clef part score (with the up an octave transposition) for Euphonium?

I had a go at doing this but my full score still showed bass clef when I looked at the full score transposition tab.

So, is not the standard treble clef setup for a Euphonium to score it in B-flat like a B-flat trumpet just in the Euphonium’s range? There is an option for that in setup when adding the Euphonium player.

Actually this is the default – at least in my environment.

Regarding Second: In Setup Mode duplicate the layout in the Layouts section (right zone), then select Clef and Transposition Overrides… and change clef and transposition accordingly.

Another option would be to edit the instrument definition for the Bass Clef in C to use treble clef and play 1 octave lower if one wants to notate at concert pitch. This would allow you to save as default if you intend to always write in C Treble Clef for Euphonium.

The option exists to create two parts for the Euphonium, one in Bass Clef and one in Treble, but the full score will only show one version.
