while setting your… montage export folder
WL just vanishes from the screen - no autobackup, no nothing. do your montage anew (yes, it’s either windows to blame…or soundcard drivers).
doing the same thing second time it didn’t result in crash, but then also selecting location for render (set source folder) didn’t work first time - was showing old project’s folder no matter how many times i clicked - perhaps it’s related.
i know windows 11 is going through constant updates cycle but this stuff never worked right!
and one more thing - rightclick the mouse on your handy files/waves tab - you get “new file based on current file” and also “recent audio montages”, but God forbid no “new audio montage” or just “new file…” - because hey, why not rolling your mouse and doing a few extra clicks to file → new instead.
even in wavelab 6 there were LESS clicking involved to make a new montage - actually one click on the file menu and then the rest would roll-out as you go.
and even one more thing - i keep forgetting - if you want to insert an fx on a clip within audio montage - do rightclick and go select one - it never loads on first attempt! nothing happens and one must do the same again - do alt+X
once first plugin is loaded the rest don’t need double attempts.
