After having saved then reopen a project, the color intensity of the inactive note event intesity (in Preferences/Event Display/Midi) is reset to 100%, and I have to manually reset it to the lower value I had befoe closing the project.
I’ve been trying to isolate the behavior. I made a mistake in thinking that it was only after I closed and reopened a project. Instead, the problem occurs whenever I’ve closed the key editor and opened a new key editor window.
So, in the first pic, you can see what the inactive note intensity is when the slider in Preferences is set all the way to the left. This is the correct state. The second pic is what it looks like if I’ve closed and reopened a key editor window (or as in the earlier post, if I’ve closed and reopened the project.
In order to get the color intensity to display correctly again, I have to go to Preference and click “OK”. I don’t have to change any setting, just simply click OK. The slider itself remains where I left it before, all the way to the left.
You open the Key Editor for the 2nd time, and you can see the issue. Then you open the Preferences > Event Display > MIDI. How is the Inactive Note Event Intensity slider set? Is it set to 0 or ~25%?
Yes, I open a new key editor and the event colors are wrong. I use the slider set to 0 for my color scheme, and it remains at 0 when I reopen the Preferences. Simply clicking on OK without touching anything else in the preferences dialogue reverts the colors to what they should be.
I’ve tried saving out my preferences to a new file and re-importing them, but to no avail.
