Event info line in Timecode format, while grid is in "Beats and Bars"?

is there anyway to have different time display formats at the same time? For example, I’d like the grid to be in Beats and Bars, but if I need to measure the duration of any event (midi or audio), by selecting it and pressing “P”, can the Info Line display time instead of bars?

That would really be so helpful. Otherwise, I have to keep switching between time display formats just to check.

Nevermind, found a way through Macro and “Exchange Time Formats”, implemented into my touch screen controls.

Add a Ruler Track and set the Time Format to “Seconds”.

it’s useless. you still have to change the actual time format on the transport itself in order to get the actual info. Anyway, nvm i created a shortcut, guess i can work with it

You can also just press “.” (“period” or “full stop”) key on your computer keyboard to toggle between time display units in order to see the duration in seconds, unless you have changed the default Key Commands.

Yes, you can select the event, press “P” to set the locators around around an event, and optionally display duration between them in the Transport Bar:

(check “Locator Range Duration”)

While that toggles the time units in both the info line and the transport, you could additionally open the Time Display (Studio | More Options | Time Display) but the trick is to manually select the time format you want, one time, by right-clicking the Time Display, to make it “stick”, otherwise that just toggles as well.

Technically, that does provide different time displays simultaneously, but doesn’t help your specific use case, so you might consider adding the “feature request” tag to your topic.
