Every note sounds sliding in from below

I’m writing a piece for classical guitar and something must have been pressed by mistake as I’m now hearing a slide into each note I enter, but nothing is showing on the staff that would indicate a slide. Does anyone know how to turn this off?

Hi Alex, welcome to the forum…

It sounds like the key switch for the slide in to notes has been activated. Which VST are you using for the Classical Guitar?

Hi David,

I’m not sure which VST it is, whichever is in Dorico by default!
Do you know the keyswitch for slide in/where this is located so I can turn it off?

Thanks!

You can check which VST it is by going to the Play page. In the Routing section of the Track Inspector Tab you’ll probably see something like this…

You can find out more about the VST by clicking on the “e” symbol next to the cog wheel icon. That will display Halion Sonic which is where you can see all the information about the instrument you’re using. I suspect you’ve got the Nylon Guitar VX instrument loaded - and the Keyswitch for the slide is F0. Something is triggering that note. If you want to post your project here I can take a look at it and find out what it is…

Excellent, thanks so much for the detailed guide David. Found the keyswitch and changed it back to “Open”. Now all is well

Thanks again!
