For various reasons I can’t use my main machine for a while, so I’m forced to use its predecessor, a 2014 MBP.
I’ve loaded up the latest versions of my software and connected my sample SSD. The SSD is connected via USB3 so should be fast enough.
When I’m using Noteperformer 4.5.1, NPPE, and EW Hollywood choirs Diamond Edition I get no sound, and I can see that inside NPPE no samples have been loaded.
If I reload the patch manually inside NPPE, everything is good, but of course when I exit the plug-in window it reverts to its original state.
If I load the OPUS VST and the same patches inside Dorico directly, everything works fine (though the performances sound very crude compared to NPPE).
I only have 16 GB of RAM, and I wonder if somehow this is upsetting NPPE. But there is enough RAM to load 8 instances manually in Dorico, so that would be a bit strange.
I should add that I updated the library location in EW installation centre to point to the sample SSD.
Has anybody come across this issue with NPPE and Hollywood choirs?
Many thanks!
