I know this isn’t the first time I’ve brought this up, but it continues to be an issue

As for what I’d do to fix, I’d suggest either or both of the following:
A: Shorten the label to just the Instrument name… it’s galley mode, listing all the instruments the player is holding is just wasted space
B:: Move the the label up a bit, so at least it isn’t colliding with notes no higher than say, one ledger line B.
B2: Use the new vertical space to move it over to the left a bit, since we can now tuck it in over the clef.
So maybe it’d end up something like this:
How about if you temporalily give your player a shorter name? I agree that the names can get very long and confusing
