Hello,
I have a problem using VST Live projects on two computers.
I prepare my songs in Cubase on PC 1 (Windows with sound card A), export them and create the VST Live project on PC 1.
Then I copy the entire directory to PC 2 (Windows with sound card B) and open the VST Live project. VST Live crashes (the program closes without any further response).
I can import the individual songs into a new VST Live project on PC 2. This means that the songs are fine.
Question:
Why does VST Live just crash?
What is the best way to exchange a project between two PCs?
Hi @Spork ,
unfortunately there is no Crash-Dump-File in this folder.
I can reproduce the crash at any time.
But now I see, I have a general problem.
I can no longer open old projects. VST Live always crashes when I open it. I can only create new projects.
Mayby I have to uninstall VST-Live und re-install?
Kind regards Heiko
Hello @Spork,
unfortunately, I’m still having problems importing songs into VST Live.
As I wrote, I create my songs in Cubase and export them in VST Live format.
Then I import the songs into a VST Live project on my PC. This is working well so far.
Now I want to transfer this project to my laptop. To do this, I use the archive function, as suggested.
I transfer the folder with the archive files to the laptop and open it in VST Live.
At first glance, this looked fine. However, VST Live seems to be getting confused with the files.
I have an audio click track in every song. It always has the same name.
Now, when I play the songs on the laptop, some of the click tracks no longer match the song. Even with a piano track, there’s a clip that comes from a completely different song. There seems to be a name overlap here as well.
When I look at the contents of the audio folder, I see that there are far too few files. Especially with the click tracks, there should be exactly as many as there are songs.
But the number of drum clips is also too small.
So this isn’t working for me at all.
Can you please help me?
