I’m getting exclamation marks before and after my Kontakt slots. I have just gone from Dorico 5 to Dorico 6, and have opened a project that works fine in 5. I have read others that have this problem, but they are all Mac users. I am on Windows. The sounds are playing back, but the Kontakt panel is “greyish”, and I can’t see kontakt at all as a vst alternative in the vst drop down menu in the PLAY mode. I have enabled a path in VST preferences, and have them also active as allowed vst plugins. What am I doing wrong?
The exclamation marks indicate that Kontakt (the VST plug-in, not the sound library) could be found and did not load.
First question, which version of Kontakt do you have?
I don’t know with which version it was, but Kontakt 7 - I think - it was that supported VST3 the first time. So if you go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 is there a Kontakt plug-in to be found?
Could you also please load that project again and then do from the Dorico menu Help > Create Diagnostic Report? The corresponding zip file please send to u dot stoermer at steinberg dot de
Thanks
