My PC’s OS drive crashed and had to be replaced. Since then, Steinberg’s ELicenser has expired and/or been removed from being usable. Any advice on what I need to do to download Cubase 11 Pro again, on my newly rebuilt PC-in light of the Elicenser mechanism no longer being in use. Please advise. Thanks.
Have you already installed the eLicenser Control Center? It’s no longer automatically installed together with the Download Assistant.
Yes, it was already long since installed on my PC, before the OS drive crashed. If I need to reload it, I need to know exactly where to go to do that. Cubase’s so-called “support line” is a joke. Please advise.
I’d suggest to download the installer from the page linked above and install the Control Center again to ensure all required components are actually present and not corrupted.
What? Click on the link that Martin90 provided just above your “where exactly” post….scroll down past the yellow text box untill you see both the Mac & Windows download links.
Insert the dongle, download the dongle driver there, install, start up cb11.
Also save the downloaded dongle driver for use when you do a clean os install of your computer again in 2030…..and don’t let the dog eat your elicenser in the meantime ![]()
