Explode poly-channel wav to new TRACKS? Not lanes

Hello, if I have a 5 channel wav on a track, is there a way to ‘explode’ that .wav so that each individual channel is dropped on a new track? I know this is possible to where it splits the channels and puts each one on their own lane, but I am wondering if there is a way to do it where it puts each channel on their own new track.

Thanks!

This only seems to create new tracks for the Left and Right channels. If it is a polywav with more than 2 channels, this doesn’t work unfortunately

Right click on the event: Split channels.

There’s an option to spilt them in the Pool only.

Ok thanks yep I guess that is the best option - splitting to pool and dragging in. I was hoping there was some kind of macro or logical editor preset I could make where it just does them straight to new tracks, but this works too.

Thanks!

This is what most people try to avoid at all cost.
When working in a template (which I assume 99% of us do), you don’t want any tracks created “at random” -and most importantly- with unknown routing.

For most scenarios I totally agree! I was doing audio work for something a bit different though this time and not using a template.
