I wanted to see if anyone can help me with this.
I can successfully write automation onto the timeline by using preview, selecting a preset, and then punching to loop.
Problem: When I reload the project parameters default to what was in the template and ignores the written automation. It turns out that
- if I punch automation to start/end it is not recoverable.
- if I punch any random automation at some point - let’s call that “A”, and then new automation after, “B”, then as long as I literally locate the timeline first into area A and then into area B automation will load correctly.
I have yet to test this further but it seems like this could be a big problem if the project is opened just to address some client notes in area B and the automation crossover from A to B is never “read”, because then the project retains the wrong settings and will literally export an incorrect mix.
Does anyone have any idea of what is happening, if I’m doing something wrong or if this is a bug that can be worked around?
Nuendo 13.0.51, latest version of Symphony 3D (and Stratus 3D).
This is slowing me down and scaring me.
