Opening the Export Audio window can be bound to a keyboard shortcut.
Once open, the filename field is selected automatically and can be adjusted, as required (obviously via keyboard input).
In order to perform the export, we then have to reach for the mouse, find the Export Audio button and click it.
On paper this sounds highly trivial, but when you’re making heavy use of keyboard shortcuts in your workflow and interacting frequently with the Export Audio function, this “minor inconvenience” quickly becomes tiresome (and it does of course add up, time-wise).
It would also be nice to escape out of the window (ie. close it) by hitting Esc
I seem to recall Cubase having this functionality a long time ago? Maybe…
