Yesterday, on a tight deadline, finishing some mix revisions, Cubase decided to have a behavior that I have not seen it have before.
When I click Export in the mixdown menu, the little progress bar shows up as usual but the cancel button is blanked and Cubase is frozen solid. I don’t even get the “not responding” in the task manager in Windows. I has never done that to me before and it did it multiple times yesterday.
I didn’t use any new plugins or that much more than usual, sampling rate was the same as my other projects. I don’t know where to look. The result is we ended up submitting (it’s a contest) some rougher mixes that are missing some elements. I could not be humanly more frustrated than I am now. 
Could this have anything to do with C11 being released yesterday or there’s another suspect?
I’m actively trying to resolve this.
