Export Dorico xml for import in Cubase

I can send the file maybe? Would that help?

yes ok

Something.dorico (1.0 MB)
This is the actual file itself that is giving me a headache;)

Curious.
I can export full score as uncompressed xml , but not compressed mxl.

Something - Full score - 01 Something.xml (1.1 MB)

I changed the export options
exportXML2

The XML opened in Finale, but with an error warning
somethingErrorFinaleImport

Sorry I forgot how to change the export options…where is that again?

That’s interesting. And Sibelius won’t even touch those. It’s says something like it’s not a musicxml file and cannot be loaded…hmmm

the uncompressed ones I mean

Hi @Janus,

I think it has something to do with the percussion kit. If one removes all the instruments from the kit then it is possible to export as compressed xml, (and Finale will not show the error message that @Derrek shows in the post below).
I’m not saying that that is the solution, just trying to understand what is happening there.

Oh yes I remember reading something about that. Let me try that…

That worked…I guess I won’t do that for the full score. I’ll do it separately. Thanks very much…for now;))

Dorico is indeed exporting malformed MusicXML here. It’s exporting notes without either specifying their pitch or the fact that they are unpitched, for some of the notes in the drum set. I’ll look into it further.

The problem is caused by the slash regions in the drum set part. For the time being, you can delete those slash regions before you export your MusicXML file.
