# Export from Cubasis 3 to Cubase Elements 12 - no sound

Hello, when importing a project from Cubasis 3 to Cubase Elements 12, no sound is played when playing as if the instruments from Cubasis 3 were not loaded , and the option to edit the instrument is greyed out. Thank you for your advice.

Hi,

You can find very useful article about the Cubasis Importer [here](https://forums.steinberg.net/t/about-the-cubasis-importer/797840). You can find even the list of plug-ins, which are transferred from Cubasis to Cubase.

There is no Instrument assigned to your Instrument track(s). Most probably you didn’t use any Cubasis Importer supported instrument. Of course, you can choose the instrument manually to any track in Cubase.
