Welcome to the forum.
Sibelius has been in development for over 26 years; Dorico just over 7. Even the âsimplestâ of features requires man-hours of work and testing, at the expense of some other feature on the To-Do list.
If you look at the scope and number of features in each release, you canât fault the team for the amount of work they do.
Personally, Iâd rather have the team working on notation and playback features, rather than mirroring functionality of ten-a-penny PDF editors. But Iâm sure theyâll get round to it in due course.
Which workflows are you having difficulty with? By âIntuitiveâ, do you mean âfamiliarâ, âdiscoverableâ, or something else? Perhaps start a new thread, to see if thereâs any advice on aspects of the program that could help you.
Ouch today I (a newbie) tried to print score and parts. I spent a while looking for the box to click for combining parts might be. Then did a search on youtube. Now here I am on the Forum. Yes I do own software that can combine PDFâs; but for this task I do not think it should be necessary. Please add in your wonderful Print setup the ability to combine all parts into one PDF.
Hello, if you want to print score and parts in one go: in Print Mode select all the layouts on the left side âShift-clickâ and just press the print button at the right bottom. Everything will be printed in one go.
If it is really just for printing, this is the fastest way.
If you like to export your files as graphics or .pdf files, you canât combine them in Dorico (yet) but I am sure at some point there will be a function similar to f.e. Sibelius, who knows?
I also noticed the difference, when switching software, but I just export all layouts into one folder (same speedy procedure as printing all layouts) and, if necessary post that folderâŚ
It is not easy to get rid of old habits.
kb â I canât get that to work. If I select all the parts in the Layouts panel and export, only one part gets exported. What am I missing? â Bill

Are you âexportingâ or are you Printing? To get PDF parts, one needs to use the Print > Graphics >PDF option. Go to Print mode; choose the layouts you want converted to PDF; and then print via the Graphics tab on the right.
Breaking news: for the heck of it I tried exporting color rather than mono, and the individual parts exported correctly. Go figger.

It looks as if you have also changed something else at the same time - as this behaviour is not reproducible.
Bill, can you try to export everything âMonoâ again and tell us about the result?
A screenshot of the left panel of Print Mode - before exporting - might also be helpful.
Due to some mystery the parts are now exporting in mono as well as color. Iâll give you credit, kb, for whatever magic you sent. â Bill
