Exported file has no audio

Having trouble exporting a file with audio. I recorded it with a Shure SM7B routed to a Focusrite Solo, but when I export it as a .wav file–or even if I try to screen record it–there’s no audio. Below are my current settings; any and all help would be appreciated.

Hi @axisrogue ,

first of all: great documentation with screenshots!

Have you checked the input gain on your audiointerface? If you activate the monitor on your track
grafik
and open the mixer, you should set the input gain on your focusrite in a way that you see around -18 to -12 db on your input channel meter in Cubase (“Mono In 1”). The faders should all be at unity level 0dB at this point (they are all way up in your screenshot, not necessary).

Also make sure that you don’t confuse Mono In 1 with physical input 1 in your Focusrite - you have set them up as Mono Input 1 Cubase = Input 2 Focusrite and Input 2 Cubase = Focusrite Input 1 … maybe that’s the culprit?

You forgot to set up the locators to mark the export range.

LOL, Eagle Eye Johnny at work
Good catch!

How do I do that

Nvm I found it, thank you both!

Many ways to do that: for starters, just hold Ctrl (Cmd) and click on the ruler on top of the project to set the left locator. Do the same while holding Alt (option) to set the right one.
Or select the track you want to export and press P.

Better late than never: Welcome to the forum

Hi @axisrogue ,
can you mark @Johnny_Moneto 's post as solution next time you drop by, please?
Thank you!
