Exporting A4 Gives Me Letter

Hey Guys,

I have a score layout set to A4 but every time I export a score in Graphics settings PDF it gives me the Letter Orientation. Despite the Page Setup stating that it’s A4 when it’s clearly in Letter when it’s viewed on the left as is shown in the image below.

When i set the export to Print and choose print to PDF it seems to work.

What am I missing?

What you see in Print mode should not be a problem, if you export Graphic (pdf). Only the Layout options >Page Setup do matter.
It’s a known problem from the Qt framework. Of course, we all wish those problems did not exist, but they won’t do any harm to your work.

@NicolasJC What sometimes helps on windows is to check in your Windows setting what your default printer is and what paper size is by default selected in that default printer. If it is Letter set it to A4. This was the solution for me. This are only Windows settings nothing in Dorico.

Unfortunately the print preview doesn’t always match the eventual output exactly. This is due to some limitations in the print preview widget provided by the Qt framework on which Dorico is built. If you have any doubts, it’s always worth exporting a PDF instead, as it only takes a moment, and you can be sure that you are seeing the actual output.
