Exporting Groups/Sends not getting full 7.1 chain

Hi,
I am redoing my music composing template for 7.1.

Trying out my stems, but apparently when doing export by CSP (Groups and sends) it will not include the full send chain. I only get a stereo instead of a 7.1 file. Although the send is going through cinematic rooms reverb that is 7.1.

This when having the send directly on the instrument channel.

If I however have the same send later on in the chain, in this case the _SYNTH PADS 5.1 group it does export as it should in 7.1 via CSP export.

Am I missing something? Why is this the case? Or is this mindnumbing template work making me (even more) stupid.

Not sure if I get my point out there.

The manual says for CSP “The channel configuration is exported post-panner.”, and earlier under “Inserts and Strip” it reads “The channel configuration is exported post-panner, that is, mono channels that are routed to a stereo group are exported as stereo channels.”

So, what is the actual output target of the source you are exporting? Is it 7.1?

I would expect that if the output is stereo you get a stereo export.

It is a 7.1 output.
Btw, I am exporting the same group (_SYNTH PADS) on both versions. Its only the send being earlier in the chainthat is different from pic 1 and 2.

Why I want to do this? Well so I dont have to do the same send amount on all instruments.
If I do a CSPM it works having it on the instrument send however.

So you’re selecting the group track in the export dialog in both cases? Can you show a screenshot from the export dialog?

Hey, certainly.
This is with the send on instrument channel:

This when exporting same group but having the send on that group:

The kicker though, if I have a send disconnected in the _SYNTH PADS group it does export correctly even when using the send on the instrument channel:

Cant wrap my head around it.

Me neither, unfortunately.

@Armand Is this how it is supposed to work?
