Hi there,
I’m encountering a minor issue in Cubase C13 and C14 (Windows). When exporting MIDI files, the software doesn’t append the file extension automatically. I need to manually add “.mid” at the end of the file name during the export process, which is pretty much obvious since I’m using the MIDI export function.
I was so used to the previous versions that I always forget typing the extensions… As a result, the exported file isn’t recognized in the Import window, which excludes files without “.mid” or “.midi” extensions by default.
As mentioned, this is a minor issue, but it occurs frequently enough to be frustrating. It happened to me that I’ve had to re-export MIDI files, only to later realize I had already exported them the day before but couldn’t locate them due to the missing extension.
I hope to see this return to how it functioned in previous versions of Cubase.
