Exporting MIDI settings

Occasionally I write in Dorico first and then export MIDI to a DAW to produce. I’ve noticed that Dorico exports most information to Expression (CC11) and it only became an issue with Atomic Horns from Straight Ahead Samples. I had to copy/paste all expression to modulation (otherwise tracks would drop out randomly).

My question: Is there a way to adjust settings so that the MIDI exports everything to CC1 instead of CC11?

I’m guessing, but I think it depends on your expression map for that instrument.

Yes, I believe that is correct. And Atomic Horns using velocity data on Dorico to map its performance (at least this is my understanding). I’m just wondering if I can override that without messing with the Atomic Horns expression map - the folks at Straight Ahead created it specifically for Dorico and it works very nicely. The issue is when I export for another DAW.

Sorry - not my area of expertise.

What I would suggest is making a copy of the Atomic Horns expression map and editing it such that it uses CC1 instead of CC11. Before you export your MIDI file, use the Track Inspector to change from the normal expression map to your copy. Export the MIDI file, then revert those changes to the expression map in the Track Inspector.
