I’m working on a choral project in Cubase 15 with four MIDI tracks, each assigned to an instance of OmniVocal.
I’ve correctly entered the lyrics into the MIDI events using the OmniVocal engine, and the phonemes are correctly displayed as labels in the Pitch Editor notes. Now I need to export these four tracks to a full score (SATB) where the lyrics are automatically reflected.
So I’d like to know if it’s possible to export the score with the lyrics included.
Probably the best you could do would be to select the words in the text field in the key editor and painstakingly paste them, a little at a time, where you want them in the score editor, but I suspect it would be faster to just enter the lyrics fresh.
My guess is, “probably.” To be honest, I’ve never used Cubase’s Score Editor for lyrics (and mostly only for a visual aid while editing in the Key Editor). The manual entry for adding lyrics is at:
I know the current Cubase score editor is based on Dorico, and there are tutorials out there for entering lyrics in Dorico (which is where I always do charts with lyrics). So maybe they could also be applicable to Cubase’s current score editor? (There is probably someone out there who is more familiar with that than I am, though.) Here’s one such Dorico tutorial:
