I’ve been looking around but couldn’t find an answer to this issue: When I export anything with the audio mixdown the resulting file is 3dB quieter than the signal in cubase. I have tested the actual levels by importing the exports and putting them up against the original track, where I can both see the difference in the visualization of the track and the fader peaks. Even when disabling all plugins and making sure all faders in the project are set to 0 I still get an output file 3dB quieter. I also measured how much quieter it was exactly by recording a signal that was clipping so I had a 0dB baseline to test against and that confirmed that it is exactly 3dB quieter. Does anybody have any insight on what export settings I may have missed?
