Expression Map Setup window keeps reopening on its own while I’m working

This specific symptom — the Expression Map Setup in Cubase 15 Pro, window reopening on its own unprompted — isn’t a widely documented named bug in the forums. It occurs: in safe mode with default preferences and 3rd party VSTs disabled. With old and new projects. Using Cubase Pro 15.0.21 -Tahoe 26.5- Mac Studio M2.

I’ve tried safe mode with default preferences.

I’ve closed Expression maps in the inspector.

New projects in safe mode with noting in it…Expression Map Setup window pops up.

Frustrating Cubase is unusable.

Check in Studio Settings Legacy Remote Devices Generic Remote and make sure you don’t don’t have anything connected on its MIDI Input. This takes incoming MIDI Messages & converts them into Cubase commands. It is a common source of mysterious unwanted stuff happening.

Problem solved -MIDI Remote for AKAI Max25 caused the problem.
