Extend Second Ending to Next Staff

In the attached screenshot, how can I extend the second ending to the end of the last staff?

Select ending and SHIFT+ALT+L/R ARROW to move back or forward

I tried that, but it extends the line and doesn’t continue to the next staff.

Can you provide a file that shows this limitation? For me, it works perfectly as described.

Here’s my Dorico file.

It works here too…

I must be doing something wrong here. I just opened the project in Dorico (same file I posted) and clicked on Engrave. The default “graphic editing” icon is active. I clicked on the second-ending line and it highlighted in orange. I repeatedly hit shift-alt-rightarrow, and the line keeps moving to the right until it’s almost completely off the page, but it doesn’t move to the next staff. (I also tried using the right arrow on the number pad, but that had the same effect.) Any idea what I’m missing here?

You change the length of this in WRITE, not Engrave. Write changes the semantic meaning of things (in this case the musical length of the 2nd time bar) whereas Engrave just changes how something appears on the page in that layout.

Aha! Thanks for the help!
