External fx plugin; Is it fixed yet?

There is absolutely no point in me upgrading until I know some basics are actually addressed
FYI I have tried installing 13 a while back and absolutely wrecked Cubase 12 trying to sort it out…good thing I did an image backup but Im not doing that again; hence my questions

So when I use external fx plugins, its imperative for basic operation to

  1. Have presets available to that the gains can be saved for different scenarios
  2. Have the parameters exposed for automation

There is nothing in v12

Does anyone use the external fx plugin?

How do you go changing diff gear or scenarios…do you write on a piece of paper or some file somewhere…or project notepad?

Does anyone else see this is an important missing help?
