external hardware and limited input???

Hi all,

im running nuendo and was wondering if theres a way to switch off the limiter/overload protection on input when using external hardware ?


I appreciate I shouldnt be coming back in excessively hot however if i wanted a limiter id just apply one myself, not something i have no control over.

just to clarify, im talking about using hardware fx processors via ‘external fx’

just seems odd to me that it gives the option to specify the send and return gain but it limits the return

i want to apply my own limiter which i have control over
