External Midi instrument - MONO problem

hi i have the Moog Sub Phatty (INCREDIBLE SYNTH!!!)

it has a mono output. i want to use it as a normal External midi instrument setup in C7.

however when i connect it up as a mono External Instrument, cubase complains with a popup box that a mono output is not what it expected and the channel will be silent?

i dont want to use two waste two inputs on my interface (UR824) if my synth is only mono…

any ideas?

Don’ t use it on an instrument track but the rack then.

yeah but then its a real pain to do it that way. its supposed to work with Instrument tracks…
