Extra Grid Lines Appearing in "Adapt to Zoom" - Need Help

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using the “Adapt to Zoom” grid setting in Cubase, and it usually adjusts the grid lines as expected when I zoom in and out. However, now I’m seeing a lot more grid lines than I typically do at this zoom level. I’ve attached a screenshot for reference.

This seems to have happened out of nowhere, and I can’t figure out why it’s displaying so many additional grid lines. Any ideas on how to revert this to the usual grid spacing? Any tips or settings adjustments would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

It is impossible to say what your expected look is.

have you set your primary time format to Bars+Beats? or maybe there is a different time signature if you expect 4/4?

your grid certainly isn’t the same as mine

This is my expected look generally:

Right-click on the toolbar next to your grid settings. from the menu and make sure time display is selected. Set that to bars+beats … hopefully, it is that easy

It is set to that already:

ok normally that does it for me. is your time signature 4/4 in the transport panel?

No, but I want the project in 3/4 and also it happens it in 4/4 projects too:

Oh yeah, I figured it out. It only comes up in projects that is either in 3/4 or 4/4 but played as 6/8. Thank you.
