Extra staves problem

I have a strange problem with extra staves.

In Layout Options I have deselected: Show extra staves across full system when starting or stopping.

The Horn part displays correctly, while the Trumpet part still shows the extra staff across full system.

Any help would be much appreciated

It seems to be related to the fact that for the trumpet (unlike the horn), you have both an additional staff and an instrument change. That might be preventing Dorico from handling the situation correctly.

If you remove the Bb trumpet from the file (it doesn’t play in this example), then the extra staves are handled correctly:

Interestingly, it looks like it would work with an ossia instead of an additional staff:
