I am currently writing a piece for orchestra and choir, and I am wanting to extract the choir and piano part for rehearsal. However, the default for Dorico has every part on its own separate part. Is there a way I can extract all of SATB and piano without having to create it entirely from scratch again?
If I understand what you want, you can create a custom layout in setup mode (right panel). Once created, add the players you want in that layout by clicking on the players in the left panel. Each player will be on a different system. You could also create a new flow with just the choir & piano and cut/paste to it but any changes made in the original flow would not be reflected in that new flow. Likewise you could create new instruments in your score, cut/paste to them then hide in the score.
