Extracting parts in imported scores

Good evening friends,
If I’ve understood Dorico correctly, in an orchestral score we have to create as many staves as there are instrumentalists and then we condense them.

The problem is that in many scores engraved elsewhere, I wrote my instruments already condensed (for example, two flutes on a single staff, each in a separate voice).
When importing such files (in xml) into Dorico, how do I then extract Flute 1 and Flute 2 as separate parts?
Is there a clever way that I don’t know of (once again, the French manual is silent on this point, otherwise I wouldn’t bother you about it).
Thanks in advance.

You can use the Explode function:

I recommend you do this in small chunks as there can be issues when the number of voices changes between phrases, as it likely would with large selections.

Many would like to use that function on my music. :grimacing:

I thank you, Daniel. I shall try this.
My first thought was to use the filters and then copy/paste into a new layout, but that certainly wasn’t a good idea.
