Fader Display Option added: Input Post Trim Control

Right now there are 3 options for fader metering: Input, and two outputs (including post-pan).

I’d like to request a 2nd input display, the one that is post input trim control (the trim control up in the rack). That tells us how hard the signal is hitting the plug-ins. Right now, there’s no way to do that without some kind of workaround, especially if the plug-in doesn’t have an accurate input level meter of its own.

Right now the only option for accurate metering is a workaround like putting a comp as the first insert (set flat) and reading the values, or maybe 3rd party options (Melda has a free meter), all of which work but are a bit clunky.
EDIT: Putting the Cubase Comp up there doesn’t work, because it only adds gain, doesn’t trim, I believe. A free meter plug-in (Sonalksis free-G, for example) I guess is the only way to see how hard the comps and other plug-ins are getting hit if they don’t have their own accurate metering, What are other folks doing?
