Faderport 8 issues with sends control in Cubase 14 Pro

Hey All,
Quick question for Faderport 8 vs Cubase 14 Pro. I try to control my sends using the faderport 8 control. Let’s say on track 1 I have two sends, I can control the first send without issues, but I soon as I try to use the next slider on the faderport (or any other of the 8 faders) for my second send , Cubase switch to 2nd send of the next adjacent track (Track 2, even if this one is empty and not activated) instead of remaining on my 1st track.

Anyone can share some light on this?
Tks!

Have a look in the studio setup menu (I think - if not maybe under midi port setup somewhere) for the generic remote or mackie control option you add to setup the faderport (can’t remember which it is as I’m not at my computer) and uncheck the auto select checkbox. Chris Selim has a faderport (16? I think, but still applies to the 8) setup video for Cubase where he explains this issue, he shows it towards the end of the video.

TKS GDMusic,
I did watch that video a few weeks ago when I started implementing Faderport, but this issue was still there. It does the same with the Edits Plugins. It’s like if the faderport sliders, when on these modes (Sends -Edits Plugins), are still on track mode underneath. For example if i want to work on the Channel EQ of track 1 (EQ1 gain) then for (EQ2 Gain) it will then jump to the next track (EQ2), It is probably a setting in the Faderport? I did a quick test and if I only have one track in the project the EQ works perfectly. All the sliders relates to the their good controls

I am having the same issue. Have you found any answers?

Nop, still searching.

I’ve just tried it on my system to see if I have the issue you’re describing but all seems to function correctly. I can change the eq sections using the faders to alter the eq1 gain/ Q / frequency sections for the selected track without problems. These are my studio setup options and midi port setup. Hopefully some of this helps you find a solution as to why it isn’t working for you. Apologies if not! Maybe try starting in safe mode and see if it changes functionality?

Having just reread your original post, your picture shows the insert effects, not sends. When using inserts, the behaviour on my faderport is : fader 1 controls the insert effect slot 1-16 (slot 1 with fader at down at infinity, slot 16 near top - ‘user’ shows on first faderport screen when up full. Fader 2 switches the plugin slot on/off when a plugin is loaded. Fader 3 will scroll through your plugins to load a plugin if nothing is selected. Fader 4-8 do nothing. With a plugin loaded, if I use fader 1 to select the desired insert slot, I then turn the pan/param. knob on the faderport to access the loaded plugin option pages, eg. In your photo, studio eq is loaded in slot 2. If after using fader 1 to select insert fx2 (should display on first faderport screen) then pan knob will change the faderport displays to list the studio eq functions.

Thank you so much GDMusic for the Print Screen… you found the culprit. The '‘Smart Switch Delay, Enable Auto Select’ was checked. Now everything is working perfectly the sends and also the Edit Plugin. My image on my original post was indeed showing the inserts but my issues was with the sends.

Tks again for the clear explanations GDMusic!
