If you run into an isolated problem with starting up Dorico, there’s no need to post the diagnostics here unless you are having a problem you cannot solve. You’re not asking for help, so you’re just cluttering up the forum.

We are well aware that under some circumstances, Dorico will not start correctly due to issues with the audio engine. If you run into this problem, run Activity Monitor and make sure that both the Dorico and VST Audio Engine processes are not listed, then try running Dorico again.

If you are trying to run Dorico immediately after quitting the application, wait a couple of seconds before you reopen Dorico, to ensure that the audio engine has had a chance to quit.

Please don’t post empty messages with diagnostics again. Only post if you are asking for help. And if you are asking for help, please actually ask for help.

Ok, thanks!
(I thought you appreciated these reports. But if that’s not the case I’ll not post)

If you run into a persistent problem and you need help, please post. But we don’t need to know if, from time to time, you need to force quit the audio engine in order to restart Dorico.

This seems to be a persistent problem.
But waiting 40-60s seems to solve it.

When close there is no issue with app hanging in Activity Monitor

This time Dorico did not start at all.
After termination I found the app running in background
After second time lounch, and 50s waiting for the audio engine to come alive, I managed to get up and running.

I’m having problems on every startup now.
I white-listed the Dorico-folder in my AVG antivirus,
but I’m not sure it has helped.

If you now actually do require assistance, you’ll need to provide some more details as to the nature of the problem you’re experiencing, and an updated set of diagnostics.

Yes, I could need some help with this.
What info is wanted?

Updated to v.5.1.80
no change

If you need assistance, you need to post a description of the problem you are experiencing, together with a fresh diagnostic report.
