Failure to launch

I read the reply to another thread about Cubase 9.5 hanging on a “windows preparing to install” window. I’m having the same problem. As far as I can tell, everything is up to date. E-Licenser also was balky. This shouldn’t be happening out of the blue.

Once I fixed e-Licenser, Cubase would update drivers, then hang on that preparing to install window. I downloaded the latest update for the program, installed it, and nothing better happened. Same nonsense. This is unacceptable. What’s going on here? Drivers are updated, everything is updated. It still is a problem. This is unacceptable.

Well, I finally got it to launch properly after having to reinstall pretty much everything. This absolutely should not happen. Ever. I don’t know what kind of little software bomb Yamaha or Steinberg snuck into Cubase, but it blew up, and wasted two and a half hours of my time on a bogus problem.
