Hi! On almost all USB keyboards with 4 modifier keys on the first bottom row, the Function key is in a different place than on my Retina Mid 2012 MacBook Pro.
On multiple regular PC keyboards:
On my MacBook Pro:
The FN key on a my bluetooth keyboard can be remapped (even though it’s not a Magic Keyboard), which is nice, but useless to me because the FN key is exactly where I want it to be. However, bluetooth is not as responsive. In Cubase, for example, when holding shift+option and clicking in the Project Window to relocate the cursor, before I click, I have to wait a fraction of a second longer so that the two modifier keys are received. I don’t know about other keyboards, but this is what I think it happens with inexpensive bluetooth keyboards like the one I have. This is why I’m looking for a fair priced PC keyboard that can work with MacOS in the way that it allows the MacOS user to remap the FN key to control and vice-versa.
Thanks.
