Hi!
I have a piece for ensemble with a lot of these objects.
Any idea how to realize this in Dorico?
I don’t have any issue with triangular and hidden noteheads.
I can actually manage the arrow beaming with a line and some engraving adjustments… not the best, but it works.
The main problem is how to realize a “fake” grace note group with a slash on the stems.
I can set the grace note size to 1/1 in Engraving Options and it looks fine, but it creates a lot of problems with horizontal alignment with other instruments in the score.
Of course I can add another line and adjust the placement, but that causes a lot of extra engraving work, especially for the parts, and it is difficult to make them appear identically.
Thank you, I’d already thought about this, but the stem length changes depending on the pitch.
Maybe there’s a way to fix the distance between the beam and the notehead?
If you mean in the Playing technique editor, no, not really. The x and y parameters are for the distance between glyphs when you have more than one. One possible way is to have some transparent SVG to put below/above. A text item with a few spaces used to work, but I’m not sure if it still works. Not even sure if a transparent SVG works anymore. You can offset it in the properties panel in Engrave mode, though. Then copy/paste or alt/opt-click once you set one.
