Fastest way to edit Plugin automation when Midi programming in Cubase

Hello everyone, hope you’re doing great.

As far as I’m concerned, Cubase doesn’t have the feature to add plugin automation to a lane in the piano roll (just midi CC).

So, if the plugin I’m working on doesn’t have midi learn function, what do you believe is the fastest way to edit the plugin’s knobs? Without having to go out of the piano roll constantly and draw the automation in the main page.

Thanks for your responses

Hi,

No, there is no automation in the Key Editor.

You can do it the other way around. You can write automation also for the MIDI CCs in the Project window. Or you can use the In-Place Editor in the Project window to edit the MIDI data.

I think you can still access the quick control menu within the piano roll, if you set the left tab to track. If you learn the plugin paramters in the the quick control menu I think you can change them from within the piano roll. (this only applies if you are using the piano role in the lower zone not in full window)
