Feature Improvement: Save/Restore mixconsoles based on multi output VSTi

Many VSTis allow multiple outputs to be enabled…especially Drums!

having spent time routing the various drums to multiple outputs, is it possible to save/export this config?

For many of the drum kits provided (e.g.Superior Drummer)…the kits will have differing output configurations (Latin Percussion vs Orchestral percussion vs various SDX drum kits etc) so it would be very useful and time saving to be able to save the ‘drum’ mixer config for each specific kit to be used on later Projects utilising the same kit rather than go through all the assignments again every time!

Superior Drummer allows the user to define the output channels per ‘kit’ and save that configuration off so that it can be imported for future usage and not have to be done multiple times again for the same kit

i know i could set it up and the save a ‘drum based’ project template as a starter for new projects…but if i subsequently want to change the kit mid project and therefore use the output assignments for that new kit, that does not help at that point (unless you know a way of doing that?)

so maybe for a future Cubase release (i was hoping 15) please provide a way of exporting/importing a named multi-output mixer configuration as i think that would be very useful?

I use track archives for this purpose. Select every channel/track that you want to include and use export selected tracks from the file export menu.

I include any send effects used by any of the tracks and place everything in a folder (which must be selected too).

You can then import this group of tracks via import track archive (file menu again).

I am using cb14 pro but I’m not sure if other versions have this feature.

Thanks

Seems a good idea…however i still think a dedicated new feature would be a great idea, hence the suggestion to Steinberg
